a class III antiarrhythmic agent used in the treatment of atrial, nodal and ventricular tachycardias

- pulmonary fibrosis/pneumonitis
- liver fibrosis/hepatitis
- peripheral neuropathy, myopathy
- photosensitivity
- 'slate-grey' appearance
- thrombophlebitis and injection site reactions (should be given via large veins)
- bradycardia
- lengths QT interval
