- prodrome: headache malaise
- diarrhoea: often bloody
- abdominal pain: may mimic appendicitis
What is the management of Campylobacter?
- usually self-limiting
- the BNF advises treatment if severe or the patient is immunocompromised (the first-line antibiotic is clarithromycin)
