ratio of risk in the experimental group to risk in the control group
How is Relative risk calculated?
(rate at which events occur in the experimental group) / (rate at which events occur in the control group)
What is meant if the relative risk is >1?
the rate of an event is increased compared to control
What is meant if the relative risk is <1?
the rate of an event is decreased compared to control
How is Relative risk reduction/increase calculated?
(difference between control and experimental group rates) / (Control event rate)
